Traditional Italian tomato sauce
Cooking Time: 1 - 2 hrs
1 28oz can of San Marzano Whole Peeled tomatoes
1-2 tablespoons of olive oil
1-2 cloves of garlic, minced
½ a tablespoon of salt
Oregano, fresh or dried
Basil, fresh or dried
- Add the oil and garlic to a pot and cook on high heat until oil starts to boil. Do not let the garlic burn.
- Crush the tomatoes and pour the contents into the pot.
- Add the salt, oregano and basil to the pot, and stir the contents together.
- Cook on high until the sauce starts to boil. Then, cook on medium-low heat for 1 - 2 hours and stir occasionally.
